Think 360 Arts offers a variety of professional development
programs, customized to meet the needs of the schools and districts
we serve. From faculty in services in a school setting to the
seven-day Aesthetic Education Institute of Colorado (AEIC), our
programs provide hands-on experience with professional artists to
help teachers bring creativity and imagination to their
classrooms.
Aesthetic Education Institute of Colorado (AEIC)
AEIC is a seven-day institute in June that provides teachers with
powerful tools to reach students of all abilities and learning
styles in new and effective ways. During hands-on workshops with
artists and classroom teachers, educators in any discipline can
unleash their inner artist and discover ways to enliven any subject
matter through techniques that not only meet Colorado Model Content
Standards, but require students to engage, question and
collaborate.
The Aesthetic Education Institute of Colorado is a teacher
professional development program of Think 360 Arts and the
University of Denver, Morgridge College of Education. The teaching
faculty is comprised of some of the finest professional artists in
the state who work side-by side with educators to present workshops
that reinvigorate the imagination and creativity of each
participant. The academic portion of the institute is guided by
“Bridge Builders”; educators who help teachers make the vital
connections between artistic experiences and their application in
curriculum and the classroom.
Aesthetic Education Institute of Colorado (Stage II)
If you are one of the hundreds of educators who have attended AEIC
in the past, Stage II is for you. Stage II is designed for teachers
who want to explore the arts in education through a
transformational model that explores six dimensions: active
engagement, sensory experience, connections, imagination,
perceptivity, and risk-taking. Stage II is geared toward a
participant's professional and personal goals and workshops are
tailored by artist and bridge builder teams.
AEIC and AEIC stage II offer 3.3 graduate level credits through the
University of Denver, Morgridge College of Education. Participants
may include pre-K through 12th grade teachers in all subject areas.
Principals, curriculum developers, paraprofessionals and parents
are also welcome.
