Each year the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts in Education Network (KCAAEN) and NSBA recognize one school board for outstanding support of the arts in education. KCAAEN and NSBA are looking for school districts that have incorporated the arts into local educational reform efforts by including the consideration of the national standards for arts education, the adoption of local arts education standards, and/or the development of assessments in the arts. The winning school district will be awarded a plaque at NSBA’s Annual Conference as well as
$10,000 to use for their arts in education program.
CASB, along with
Think 360 Arts (Colorado’s State Alliance for Arts Education) will nominate one district from Colorado to be considered at the national level for the award. Further information regarding the award and application materials can be obtained on the Kennedy Center web site.
